Gear is abolutely key; being able to find your gear when you need it most is even better. This has to be the quintessential challenge of the sporting kind.
single bag theory - used for many different applications, my favorite is the "ski bag". Get a bag the size of a small elephant. Put all your shit in it; like everything you would ever need, and 2 of most - coz you never would want that paranoid nightmare of no sox last night to come true.
Does not matter if you pack it well, by the time you fish a couple things out of the bag on the way up when its crammed in the back of the SUV - its over... now you have almalgumus mush theory.
single location theory - you figure, you are going to keep all your crap in your car, coz hey, i always have my car right? forward the clock about 8 months, and um... pass me the cheeze
